What bandwidth is needed to run your digital signage?

Post by mjstrand »

The amount of internet bandwidth needed to run a kiosk varies. If it is all text based information, it will work well on a dial up adapter. If you are doing graphic images and text, you should have at least 300kbps download speed and 50kbps upload. If you are doing flash animations or video with your system, then you should have broadband access with 768kbps download and 75kbps upload. Here is a nice tool that is produced by Vonage that tests your download speed.
